It is a privilege working with people of different cultures and backgrounds on the 16G - a secular programme based on ancient wisdom. I actively try to live by the ethics at the root of the 16G - developing a good heart and a wise mind.
Having met Lama Yeshe in 1977 I was inspired by his vision of Universal Education. As a result I trained as a teacher in order to try to incorporate some of his ideas into mainstream classrooms. I have 30 years experience working in education - as a teacher, university lecturer, local education authority advisor and consultant specialising in religious education and diversity issues. This provided me with skills and passion to develop, deliver and oversee training programmes, so I thrive on facilitating 16G workshops and editing Universal Education materials.
It has been a joy to be involved in the development of Universal Education as a Board member since 2004. On a personal level the 16G help deepen my self-awareness and understanding of transformative methods. I see and feel their deep effect on myself and others. I love exploring how the universal values embodied in the 16G programme can bring opportunities for personal development, peaceful coexistence and dialogue about ethics.
