Don Handrick has been a teacher of Buddhism since 2005, and is currently the resident teacher for half of each year at Thubten Norbu Ling, the FPMT center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He is also a touring teacher for the other six months, visiting centers in North America and Europe. Don is an accredited Level 1 facilitator for The a.r.t. of Fulfilment delivering workshops in English.
His career as a teacher began shortly after completing the FPMT’s Masters Programme, a seven-year intensive residential study program held at Lama Tzong Khapa Institute in Italy.
From 1980 until the beginning of 1998, he was employed at Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco, holding several positions in finance and accounting. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 1976-1979, and received his BS in Finance at the University of San Francisco in 1987.
In 2014, Don was invited to participate in an advisory capacity with the development of the program that would become The a.r.t. of Fulfilment. Having an interest in participating in secular education, he assisted with that task and then attended the training conducted for the first group of facilitators that was held in the UK in 2016.
