Lynne has studied and practiced Buddhism for more than 30 years and has been a school teach for over 25 years. She is an accredited facilitator on The a.r.t. of Fulfilment Level 1 delivering courses in English.
As a school teacher for more than 25 years, I was always interested in the role of education in promoting a more just and caring society, and worked on several curriculum projects that increased pupils’ awareness of wider world issues and their potential to have a positive impact. Subsequently I helped train teachers to consider issues of access and equality, and examine their own preconceived ideas that may help or impede this work.
My study and practice of Buddhism for more than 30 years has focused on what the teachings actually mean for daily life, both with respect to my own development and also in how best to share what is useful with others.
To this end, I have run classes in secular meditation, as well as discussion groups around the themes of the 16 Guidelines for a Happy Life, as well as leading classes in basic Buddhist topics. I find both aspects equally inspiring and enjoyable.
I am based in Bristol, and can help facilitate The a.r.t. of Fulfilment courses in the local area or London.
