What are the core values in your life?

How often do we feel overwhelmed by the choices we have to make?

How often do we find ourselves saying “I just don’t know”?

What if knowledge and opinion were less important and instead we could find a way to respond from a heartfelt understanding of values that really matter to us?

The 16 Guidelines for Life are a set of universal human values which have stood the test of time since their creation more than 1,000 years ago in ancient Tibet.

Our courses offer the opportunity to explore these values using contemporary tools and resources. The aim is to empower participants to create positive change in their lives and those around them.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
— Viktor E. Frankl, Psychologist

16 Guidelines - Four Wisdom Themes

The 16 Guidelines are presented in four wisdom themes. They offer a simple, robust framework to explore and develop emotional resilience and transformative change.

  • How we think – the way we use our mind determines the way we live

  • How we act – every skilful action makes a better world

  • How we relate – to take care of others is to take care of ourselves

  • How we find meaning–if everything is changing, many things are possible

The powerful simplicity of 16 Guidelines is unnerving in the beginning. I very quickly put what I had learned that weekend into practice and found that it was extremely versatile.
— G from Scotland
