In person- Building Inner Strength - 16 Guidelines Level 1 in 2 sessions, 19-20 June in Scotland

  • Haddo House & Country Park Methlick Wood Ellon, Scotland, AB41 United Kingdom (map)

Building Inner Strength: 16 Guidelines for Life workshops are based on a set of values which aim to encourage positive qualities in our life. They help us to change how we think, how we act, how we relate to others and how we find meaning.

It provides practical tools for a more meaningful, fulfilled life. The idea is simple: to change the way we experience the world, we transform the way we think, act, and relate to others to find meaning.

As part of the Building Inner Strength course, mindfulness and group exercises based on compassion and ethics are used. They offer the potential to enhance mental wellbeing, strengthen emotional resilience and build positive relationships bringing happiness for ourselves and those around us.

The Level 1 course introduces daily exercises that will help nurture our positive qualities, transform our everyday relationships and reverberate in the world around us.

The course is particularly beneficial for individuals who want to take practical techniques and implement them in their home relationships, community or workplace. Beginners to the practices of mindfulness and meditation are welcome

Course dates: The course is delivered in 2 live sessions, Sat and Sunday 19-20 June

Attendance of all four sessions is required to receive the end-of-course certificate.

Session times: The live sessions take place from 10 am to 5 pm UK Time.

Event Location: Haddo House & Country Park, Methlick, Ellon, Aberdeenshire AB41 7EQ

Gillian Watt and Lorna Forsyth:

Gillian has been passionate about health and wellbeing for many years and is now sharing what she has learned with adults, children and their four-legged friends. As a musician, educator, mother and granny, Gillian has used a variety of tools to overcome significant challenges in her life. It is her mission now to share those tools so that when others experience tricky times, they will have their very own 'tool kit'. Her 'tools' include EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)/Tapping, Reiki, Mindfulness and 16 Guidelines for a Happy Life, using the outdoors and woodland skills as often as possible.

Lorna lives in Aberdeenshire she has a passion for enabling others to find what works for them to live a stress free life by offering Qi Gong, Soundbath Meditations, Reiki healing and attunements and teaching 16 Guidelines. At every opportunity Lorna tries to spend time in nature whether that be walking/cycling in the hills or heading off in her campervan to help recharge her batteries. Inspired by the ease and instant awareness around how thoughts and actions could be changed to lead a happier life led her to training to be a facilitator.
